I don't know whats up with the 3D guy's hands and legs. The geometry was much less visible in Maya. Hopefully I can just mess with the normals a bit and get them to look better. If not, the engine can probably handle a single smooth of the entire mesh. Might manage to get a texture on it on Monday. Sunday is for dealing with a different class and maybe pumping out a couple of 3D props. At least we've got Maya2011 and XNA playing nicely.
The 2D character was a pain, so I ended up drawing over and recoloring a picture provided to me by Z. No idea where he got it (edit: seems to be from someone else's game, so the picture has been removed). So we wont be able to use it at all outside of the prototype. Inkscape has proven to be a lifesaver with the 2D art. Will probably produce a couple more sprites for the one-sheet. Just to show off our sort of tech tree. And to fill space with shiny things instead of boring words. Mostly for the shiny.
