'Jeanne' - Update

First up - A an out of date (but still nifty) turntable from when I was just starting to block out the colors. Click for shiny.

Now for something that actually is shiny: the renders I turned in at the end of the semester.

In the end I wound up duplicating the shoulder armor over to cover both sides instead of leaving her right shoulder bare for greater freedom of movement. I liked the asymmetry, but once I put the textures on there it just felt unfinished and I had to prioritize other parts of the model to meet my goal for the end of the semester.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. There are still things I'd like to change, and I probably will down the line no matter how much it annoys my professor (Consider it a parting gift, Nathan - I got the internship in Florida.)

She's still missing a normal map or two and can use some tweaks (chainmail skirt needs some sort of hem instead of the texture just ending). The textures I did on the armor are blown out almost entirely by the shader that's on there, but I don't mind much. That'll change once I've baked her down onto a low-poly mesh, shoved her into an engine, and written my own shaders.
